  1. Analysis of the ß-lactamase plasmids from penicillinase -producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae by restriction endonucleases, Southern blotting hybridization, cloning and DNA sequencing.

  2. Phenotypic and molecular analysis of penicillinase-producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae strains with a novel 4.9 Kb R-plasmid isolated in Puerto Rico.

    • Cloning restriction endonucleases mapping and DNA sequencing of the 4.9 Kb R-plasmid auxotyping, serotyping and antimicrobial susceptibility of the isolates.

  3. Studies in the yeast-to-hyphae conversion of Candida albicans and molecular analysis of the nuclei of the yeast form.
