NEONATOLOGY SECTION SERVICE
The Neonatology Section provides its services, principally, at the University Pediatric Hospital, which is located at the Puerto Rico Medical Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Section provides state of the art, comprehensive specialty care to neonates with a wide range of congenital and acquired conditions and diseases. Our team of professionals provides supportive, family centered care in a technological environment. The Section’s expertise spans the care of extremely premature infants to the care of infants with a variety of medical and surgical illnesses.
We have a tertiary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and an Intermediate Care Unit that provides intensive medical, surgical and nursing care, life support systems, electronic monitoring and a complete range of diagnostic capabilities.
